Sunday Brunch with Live Music with John Hughes, playing the Kora, (West African Harp)

Join us for a fantastic brunch and live music every Sunday at 1741 Pub & Grill, overlooking the Lyman Orchards Golf Course.  Featuring John Hughes!

John Hughes is an internationally renowned composer, kora player, percussionist and vocalist whose style crosses myriad cultural boundaries and fuses disparate influences.  Playing ancient traditional instruments not often heard in the United States, many of which he builds himself, John takes his audience on an intimate musical tour of universal expressions of joy and hope that soothe and up-lift the spirit.

Whether playing elegant and stately pieces from the classical repertoire of the Jeli’s (Griot’s) of West Africa or original compositions, John's kora playing has an uncommon beauty that is, at once, exquisitely detailed and bold.  His signature pieces are rhythmically nuanced and laced with syncopations that cascade off the strings into whirlpools of mesmerizing sound.

Dueling Pianos with Steve Savage and Matt Tobin, under the Golf Tent

Enjoy a lively night of piano entertainment with Savage Pianos and great food outside at 1741 Pub & Grill, under the Lyman Orchards Golf Tent!

Dueling Pianos is the ultimate hybrid of all modern forms of entertainment!

Two performers on two facing pianos take turns playing songs that are mostly requested by the audience. There are no rules about what can or cannot be requested so a Dueling Pianist must be well versed in ALL forms of popular music: pop, rock, jazz, hip-hop, R & B, blues, classical, etc.

The main focus of a Dueling Pianos show is participation and so every song will involve the audience in one way or another. Performers might use sing-along, clap-along, toasting, roasting, improv comedy, comedic bits, or a virtuosic musical performance simply intended to impress (on the piano or vocally).

The 1741 Pub & Grill (located at Lyman Orchards Golf Course) will offer food and beverage service throughout the event.

Two ticket times available:

5pm - 6:30pm - The show ends promptly at 6:30 so tables can be cleaned and sanitized prior to the next show.

7:30pm - 9pm

Guests will be seated outside under the tent in groups of 4-8 people per table.

Individual tables of two are not guaranteed, and may be seated with other ticket holders.
